New Opportunities to take the SAT are Coming Your Way

It seems like our routine is slowly but surely going back to the “old way” we were used to living. We are still figuring the best way to adjust, fortunately, good news are on the way. If you are in High School and you are worried about your future as the SATs in May and June got canceled, DO NOT FREAK OUT!

We have a few updates regarding the SAT, new dates were released, and important information to those who registered and could not take the exam this year due to COVID-19.

As you may know, the SATs scheduled for May and June were canceled, all students who were registered for May because their previous center was closed in March will receive a refund, as well as students who took the SAT in March and due some irregularity did not receive a score.

With that being said, great news was released by the College Board as they will provide the exam every month from August through the end of 2020, therefore a new date was added in September. A new opportunity will be available for those who want to take the test in 2020, see below the official dates for Fall 2020:

  • August 29
  • September 26
  • October 3
  • November 7
  • December 5

The College Board will be releasing an exact date for registration on the week of May 26th, all the precautions and protocols are being followed aiming the well-being of every student. In addition, they are working on other ways to maximize and expand the capacity number by adding more schools and centers to take the exam.

Due to the big number of test-takers, students who were registered for the SAT in June and those who are a class of 2021 that do not have an SAT score yet will be the priority as they will get early access to register.

Even though it is very unlikely schools will not open this upcoming Fall, the College Board has a plan B in mind in case it does not go according to plan. This Spring AP Exams are being available online to over 3 billion students from all over the world, providing an opportunity for every student to succeed and add it to their college application. The College Board pronounced it would be a similar way in case this happens,  they would provide a digital version to help students to show their knowledge to college admissions and do not affect their chances to attend their dream school.

Meanwhile, you can work on your skills and prepare for the upcoming exams for free on Khan Academy Website together with the College Board that is providing online material Click Here to Check This Out!
